Hey guys, I wanted to stop in and say hi since I registered with this site. I'm a fellow truck enthusiast. I'm 18, currently a senior in High School but going to college through running start. Currently I own the newer relative S10... actually I have two.

One is an '84 2wd short cab, short box with a built 350 swap and a 5 speed NV3500 tranny. The project took me about a year due to financial issues but it's currently driveable and along with the drivetrain changes, I also dropped the suspension 4/5 with stiffer springs and shes sportin' primer until I get funds for a paintjob. The idea was to make it very daily drivable as well as good auto-cross and strip capabilities. It's really my toy.

My second is also an '84 but it's a 4wd ext cab, currently working with a fresh rebuilt 2.8 (reliable but a boat anchor). Right now she's sitting on 31's with about 2 inches of tbar/shacle lift. Other than that, relatively stock, but with BFG MT's and the G80 locker on the back, it actually out-wheels my friend's Jeep XJ and Toyota in most cases. An SFA swap and 8" of lift are in the plans, but I have to finish my other truck fir$$t.

My daily driver is an '86 Mercedes 300E which has treated me well, and I'm slowly working on mods for it as well. (springs, wheels, euro conversions, etc.) I did all the work on both my trucks and the first one I actually built the 350 from the block up as well. It was my first engine I built and it runs.. so I'm happy

It's good to see a board of LUV enthusiasts.. I love them as well. I hope I can help share some of my knowledge as well as learn a lot from here. Sorry, I made this really long but you'll find I tend to type a lot.

I was going to say that you have alot of vehicles for 18, but I started remembering.....I had that many when I was 18 TOO!!!!! HAHA!

Yeah when you're a genuine car guy you start at an early age. The V8 S10 was actually my first vehicle which I bought for 200 bucks when I was 11. At the time it came with the oh-so-rare 2.0/T5 combo (still have the engine). The Benz I bought for daily driving when I was 16 (i make payments, and yes i have a job). The 4x4 S10 I recently took off my dad's hands for a good price when he decided to buy a new truck.

I also owned two cars before this when I was like 14 or 15 but resold them to make money. I had a hookup through my grandpa because he did refab work for a wrecking yard where I could get cars for dirt cheap and resell.

a 78 nova street/strip
a mid 80s f150 4x4
a 86 daytona
a 86 charger (engine donor for the daytona)
a bretta (girlfriends car)
a 78 z28 project car
2 yamaha 600r's (1 is for parts)
a honda seca (spelling? )

now tell me...why does 2 people need 9 fuckin vehicals

WELCOME DUDE!

Now you guys are talking about what friends had for vehicles back in high school. Well as of last year (my grade 12 year) my one friend had a 71' Chevelle LS5, 68 Impala SS, 72 Camaro SS, About 3 or 4 El Camino's, all with over 300 hp, plus a variety of non running parts cars. Oh ya and hes got a 2002 Cavalier (we bug him pretty good about driving that thing instead of the Muscle Cars) 94 ford half ton, and a 98 dodge 4x4. Now thats a pile of vehicles that a 18 year jsut doesn't need!.....Or does he....
