Hello all, while trying to figure out another problem I noticed something that puzzled me. On the carb, there are two chambers (2bbl), but only one seems to be working. While I know that one usually does most of the work, shouldn't the 2nd one open up on WOT? When I WOT, nothing seems to happen, the flap down below does not move. Seems stuck, and there is some dusty junk in there, like it hasn't worked for a while. I tried moving the flap with a screwdriver, and tried what I think is the linkage to it, but it's all stuck. Truck runs great, but I'd imagine more power if both barrels were working! Tried a bunch of carb cleaner to no avail. Short of taking the damn thing off (which looks nearly impossible due to hidden bolts - is there a DIY here?) is there something else I could spray down there to unstick it?

Thanks.

Try PB Blaster. It works good on rusty bolts and door hinges that are rusted.I have used it to tear apart old engines that the rings have seized to the cylinder walls. But I would try an expensive carb cleaner first. The PB blast might not be too good for the gaskets and rubber on the carb!
