Alright.... so we all have been waiting on and on for cheap alternatives. well I got sick of it. all talk no go.

So here.... I offer a full Kit. Yea, its the S10 spindle swap.... yes it pushes the wheels out a 1/2" out further on each side... and yes it does weigh more.

But heres the cool part. ENTIRELY BOLT ON.
A complete basic kit.... 299. this includes ball joint adapters, spindles, rotors, steering harware, all other basic brakets and instructions.

And there are lots and lots of options. drilled slot rotors, 4 piston calipers, HD bearing upgrades, NHRA wheel studs, Lifetime warrenty consumables, etc etc.

full out conversion that inclues all parts harware and instructions and INCLUDES coilovers, braided brake lines, perfromance pads etc etc literally everything... 979.99.

I will have lots and lots more pics for all who are interested. ALSO AVAILABLE. GM H BODY SPINDLE CONVERSION.

Power steering kits for the luv with sbc would be nice. Im thinking about getting the basic kit for the s10 spindle swap but i have a question. Are there any steering issues like tie rods etc. with the swap?

I'm stickying this thread since the 5 lug conversion seems to be a popular question around here.

well the S10 conversion reduces the steering pressure by 34% the reason is the longer steering arm on the spindle. for the most part, with a small block, its only a 17% change in the amount of steering force as when compared to the stock spindle. this means it only requires approximently 20% (not all combos are the same this number is an assumption) more force to turn then it did when it had the 4 cylinder. so you may find power steering un-nessacary. I eliminated my plans for power steering after the swap with a V6.

As for steering issues, the only one the kit runs into is that the stock steering limiters on the chassis need to be backed out and removed. as far as tie rods, the instuctions indicate what all needed to change.

ah that would be great to have, if i hadnt sold my smallblock luv i wouldve definitely bought that. the 6 lug wheels on the front drove me crazy lol. now somebody needs to make a complete bolt-on 4 link for the short and longbed, plus a control-arm and drop spindle kit for those of us who like to drag the frame :ebiggrin

just buy someones used s10 drop spindles ... ive seen several in my area's craigslist listings for an average of $50. maybe a small discount would be offered if you knock off the stock s10 spindles from the kit?

@ dr_frankenstein56 ...

1.) does the basic kit include or not include calipers
2.) how would the basic kit work if using DHP lower control arms? would i just need to use the upper balljoint adapters? i will be in the future doing hydraulics and intend to use Mike's lower arms with stock balljoints. should i get them with s10 balljoints? or stock luv balljoints? id be very interested in the kit in the future when i get the money to do my suspension

So with the S-10 drop spindles u could still use the Luv control arms? and still be 6 lug? cause im probably just gonna Z the frame and use the stock stuff and maybe make new control arms if needed. and just to be clear we're talking about for lowering right? not the 5 lug swap?

1. includes standard remanufactured GM metric calipers at base economy option. polished/painted/aftermarket available. (or if your desperate to be cheap, I will give you cores)
2. The Kit was never engineered to accept the DHP arms. So I cannot confirm the compatability. It depends on the Location of the lower ball joint, There is a serious geometry issue with the S10 spindle if the lower ball joint isnt correctly postioned and a stock location upper ball joint is used. it will result in the front end not being able to be properly aligned. If the DHP arms locate the S10 ball in the exact stock LUV ball position then I can confirm now they will not work with my Kit. My Kit is designed to use the exsisting LUV Upper and Lower control arms, using S10 upper and lower ball joints.

If a set of DHP lower arms were to be donated or lent for trial fits, I might beable to modify/confirm compatability.

sure I can get into looking at everything and making a list.

How fancy do you want to do it? so I know what to pick.... race, street, show?

If you can give me an Idea of what your budget will be like in US Dollars I can get you the best bang for your buck.

hey i'd be after a decent sort of street kit that also looks good.
so if you could work something out using dropped spindles, drilled rotors, hubs, 4 piston calipers. not really sure on budget depends on value for money really. so say you work it out on a mid range thing but with the better calipers and rotors and then add some prices for the better options you have and i will go through and see what i want to upgrade. i dont want coilovers as i want to use the stock suspension. sorry if its making it hard to get prices but just mid range and then available upgrades then i can let you know

Finishing a project with my grandson that his uncle started 20 years ago. Truck has 327 SB, Turbo 350 with s-10 rear end. S-10 front brakes would be just fine. We have axcess to plenty of junk yards so basic kit would probably be just fine. can you please send me all the particulars. Thanks.
