its blue, 81, diesel, long bed, 5 speed, with a black canopy

its in very good shape, little to no rust at all,
please if you see it post up.

its not my ride (wish it was) cinda

he put out the vin to customs and are resident isuzu parts person on isuzupup.com
and contacted his inserence comp

he has been running some CL ads of a stolen ride in the surrounding areas of Portland OR.
not a peep other than people on CL thinking its a for sale ad.........


ho ever took it knew what they where taking, he had three other 80s rides there and they tride to take all of them.

though its kinda hard to steal a trooper with no bat in it, let alone no trans

well its not good.

its been long enuf he got a sorta reasonable amount of $$$$ for it.
out of the insurance comp..... something like $3,200

i say sorta reasonable cues it was a completely restored pup, with a good running C223 diesel.

cash just can't replace that rare of an auto......

It's kinda concerning that they got away with it.

We just had some stuff stolen in our complex, including the surveilance cameras! And they weren't smart enough to grab the recorder so they have them stealing the cameras on tape!
The police basically said, "well, you might have his face on camera, but it's not like you got a copy of his drivers license, so we have no idea who he is".

figures they had been scouting the place out for a some time maybe, maybe not?
he had several other diesels in pups, luvs and troopers. they tried to steal....some had no BAT in them and/or no trans. and in one, no fuel if i remember right.
i would have loved to see the look on there face when they got in a auto with no trans, to try and drive away.
they need to at least check for a trans shifter when scouting


and to add insult to injury, he figures he was turned in to the cops for running non taxed diesel fuel.
they came out and put sponge in his tanks looking for red diesel (same manner as used for big rigs).
they found nothing in any auto thats drivable, one was a little red from auto trans fluid but he can argue its a parts only auto and he never has driven it any where......
if you can not prove its off road only its a $10,000 fine in Oregon, if they find ANY red in your fuel tank
putting auto trans fluid in your fuel tank, not a good idea

Make your own biodiesel...problem solved.

There's a local guy here that lives out in the county on a small farm that does out of old fryer grease he gets for free from some of the fast food places in town. He says it costs him about 75 cents to a buck a gallon to make. He gives the glycerine that is also produced in the process to his sister. She uses it to make scented soap bars that she sells and then splits the profits with him.

Pretty sweet deal...

This may be an "old thread" and i may be a lil' rusty on my LUVtruck.com rules....

But isn't Power Steering fluid the same basic chemical composition? Just Yellow/clear/dark red? If in fact they are the same and you can find a brand that's yellow that may be a much safer alternative to ATF in the fuel.

Man i need more posts on here... my dad on Isuzupup.com has thousands more posts than i do... ugh, i need to find another LUV to Love!!!! (Preferably something i can dump a 350 into)

Sorry about hearing about that pup... that really sucks, at least he may be getting 3200 to compensate, maybe he can get himself a battery, transmission, and maybe some heavy duty chains and locks he can use to "leash-up" his cars?
