My 1977 LuvWell....always been a luv-lover. My dad bought a 79 mikado 4x4 new and I always loved that truck. He of course will never think twice about another luv as he had lots and lots of problems with his. I have had all kinds of cars, however this is my first real luv experience.
The story: Bought it off a guy locally who was too large to fit in it (420lbs). He also loved these little trucks and started to redo the truck. He did some body work (shaved the mirrors, side markers front and rear, louvers

and bed ties. Then had it painted gun metal grey (paint color off of a mitsubishi galant), put in a new windshield, made custom seat brackets for the bucket seats and put them in. It has the good rear bumper, and a nice mikado steering wheel. It was a great looking luv when I got it....but far from show quality in my book. Its one of the nicest luvs I have ever seen around here and has gotten lots of compliments. So I purchased a carpet kit (PITA to put in), a abs dash pad cover (a breeze), a tach and installed them. Put tags on it and im driving it as a DD.
Its the stock 1.8l 136k on the odometer. Runs and drives fantastic. Extremely loud exhaust (severly rusted muffler lol) have been asked if it was a swapped luv with the 4.3 a couple different times now (In my dreams of course, gosh I would love to be able to cruise at 70mph)
My plans: Spray in bed liner, Custom Stainless air dam, flowmaster or magnaflow muffler.
Anyhow...got a couple pics of the way it sits now (camera phone so not very high quality.)
