I have a chance at buying a used muncie 4 spd. I already have a SBC with a TH-350 installed in my 79' LUV. Would the 4 Spd fit with the same transmission mount as the TH-350?

Might have to move the cross member,I don't think the trannies are the same length and it might take a different mount.

I am planning on cutting out the transmission cross-member because I have removed the torsion bars any way and I need more room for the exhaust.

I have swapped a muncie in place of a powerglide lot's of times on my 67 Chevelles, same mount and tranny x member location. 'glide and 350 are usually the same, of course, there is always the oddball...

With my luck I always get the oddball one that requires a BFH to make it fit, :smt021, but thanks for all the replies.

The Muncie should be a bolt in replacement even down to the drive shaft and yoke .

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
