One thing you all can apprieciate is that dispite the number of high end show cars at the event. The truck got a lot of attention from curious onlookers. Being unique has its advantages. While I know better, most hadn't seen a LUV for many a year and a lot of them had never seen a step side before and thought it was custom build. I must have told the chassis cab story about 20 times.
There's always a fair amount of satifaction when you can garnish more than your fair share of attention when you're surrounded by cars worth 5 times what you spent. Not to mention there was more NO2 than a dental supply store.
My orginal tail gate theme was gonna be:
"Big inch LUV, all natural, no enhancments needed"
But I was talked into something a more subtel.
