I am not sure which way the fuse block cover goes on. But either I have the voltage regulator fuse or stop light fuse is hot. When the key is on the fuse gets so hot, I am unable to touch it. The fuse doesn't not blow. I went from a 15amp fuse to a 5 amp fuse just to see is it would blow, the 5 amp fuse heats up faster but still will not blow. Turn signals don't work, hazard light don't work, brake lights are faint and tail lights look good. I disconnected the flashers to trouble shoot, no change. cleaned the fuse block and connectors, still not change.

I think I have a hot wire grounding out, so slightly. enough for the fuse to heat up but not enough to blow. Do you agree?

I have moved my fuse box and don't know which end is which. The one end of my 77 has a wire coming in hot when the light switch is on and fuses for each headlight. I think the other end has a wire coming in from the battery, and the middle has wires from the key, run and acc.

I would start by pulling the fuse and doing a continuity test to ground on both fuse terminals to see if its shorting to ground. Do it with power off, then start turning on your light switches one at a time and see if anything changes. That can at least get you pointed in a direction. I hope it helps.

I don't have a multi meter. I guess that is one thing I have to buy.
Thanks for the help.

You don't need anything fancy...I bought mine from Sears, a Craftsman, for about $35 and I have been using it for years.
