I have a 72 with a Buick V6. The motor is nicely installed with an Advanced Adapters kit.
That cab is ratty. I also have a nice 80 parts truck with a clean cab.
My plan is to move the cab from the 80 to the 72. Any thoughts?
I've switched cabs before and it was a big job, but not all that hard.
It seems like that's easier than moving the V6 considering the welding involved.
Are there other things I should move from the 80 at the same time?
The 72 vin number will go on the 80 so I don't have the smog issue. (California)
I do have a stepside bed for it too. Thanks in advance.

There's more to be concidered...
The 80 LUV has front disk brakes! Swapping brake systems (including the master cylinder) would be another another aspect. What condition are the frames? If either frame has any rot to them, it's not worth messing with. There have been some members report that their trucks have had major frame corrosion in areas.
Even though we cant see either truck, It makes more sense to fit the motor to the 80 since it has better brakes, newer frame. Hiring a welder for an hour or 2 sounds like alot less agravation.
