Does anyone know the weight of a stock 80 Luv windshield? I got some lexan too cut one but was wondering if it's worth the trouble, trying too save weight all I can off the front end to make up for the v-8. Thank's

the actual glass weighs about 25 lbs. i removed mine a while back.

Thanks for the info, A piece of lexan that size should weigh alot less and thinking about changing both side windows and the back glass also every bit of weight helps. You said you had yours out did you put it back in or something else? Thanks

no, when i went to california for project "get a 4wd truck", i cut the glass and frame out of the old cab (intending to bring it back with me, but never did)

i had the entire window still in the frame, with the dashboard still intact. i had my brother remove the glass and weigh it for ya.

as far as lexan goes, if you intend to use the truck as a daily driver, make sure you are still in compliance with your local laws concerning that. If you plan on doing this for the track, then i guess you would be alright. (im not too clear on racing regulations, so check with the track officials)

Thank's alot the truck will be a dirt and mudd racer so the lexan will be just fine for that, might save me 20lbs. Thank's again
