Got the daughter to the track today for her very first competition race day. I have been trying to get the clutch dialed in and having the daughter try some different things in staging the car. Her reaction times have been all over with a .1something being the best. These 12.90 (that is the quickest she can go for her age) cars are so hard to tune, I have added 178 lbs of weight so slow the car down a second and a half. So I started having her deep stage and leaving on the second yellow bulb. Today on her second time run she was way red, so I had her leave on the third yellow. On her 4th and last time run she had a .009 light!! While we were over at the food stand getting lunch the track manager come over to me, shook my hand, put a $10 bill in my hand and said "Congrats on being low quailifier!!!" When we went up for 1st rd we were informed that see got a bye run. So on her very first day of racing she got a round win!! I am very proud of her!!!!

Good to hear. Sounds like she is definitely on the right path. Getting a win at this point is only a bonus. Just to have her out there is what matters. One day she just might UNSEAT th teacher.

Actually I was very surprise at getting a round win. But I am very happy for her. The wife was talking to a few of the parents today and most of the kids started when they were 9 or older. There is one boy racing that is the same age as Maddie. So if she keeps this up in 3 or 4 years she could be kicking some a$$ at the track!! Maybe some day she just may be the driver of Wild Luv. One day at the track last year we were riding around on the 4 wheeler. She pointed to a car and said I want one of those. I was a big dragster!!!
