You do not need to cut the trans tunnel for a V6 or V8. A little heavy hamer work, takes about 10 minutes is all. The E brake is retained with slight modification. Stock heater hoses will work. Any time you are putting in a heavier engine, you want to get it back to more evenly distribute the weight front to rear.
The V6 adapters found at
www.powerbyace.com use the same trans adapters as thier V8 kits. They also use the same mods as the V8 requires. Gets the engine back and allows for an easier change to a V8 if desired later. They have a copy of the instructions in their technical section.
