I have a 79 Luv. It would run fine until I let it sit for a week or so. Then the carb would not get fuel. If I used a compressor to force air into the carb where the fuel line connects, then connected the line back up it would run. I bought a new rebuilt carp thinking something was sticking in the orginal one but it does the exact same thing. Now I can not start it if I leave it for a day. Help???

I'm guessing fuel pump. Check the fuel preasure with a guage.

Mine did the same thing until I changed the fuel filter.

Check the filter, don't forget the one actually in the pump itself. If it still does it disconnect the line at the carb and spin it over to see if you're getting fuel there. If so...maybe a stuck/sticking float.
