Top 3 ports left to right- Smog port, plug it, smog port, plug it also, and valve cover port, some type of PCV.
Bottom is smog and if you epoxy the intake you get rig of it and the EGR port in the bottom of the manifold. Don't see it but there should be another port next to it, and it goes to dist vacuum advance. See video for details on plugging EGR port inside intake manifold-

Thats your port for power brakes

Water port to open EGR valve. Needs to be plug or you have a big water leak.

Hope this helps. I could be wrong, but that's what I did on my luv.

hey ethelkilledfred thanks alot that helps I did most of what you said, now I will watch that youtube video. but for the egr cover I just made a plate and but some gsket maker on it and bolted it down. the others I pluged, but the ones on the carb, just one. the other Its used for the vacume advance ( i think). and I was going the leave the small one on the valve cover that goes to the far right of the inside of the intake. there is one more that I wonder about but will post a pic of it when I get home its a ball shap that has a vacume that goes to the port that the booster is conceted to and then one line to inside of the cab, this sits on the driver front fender. I dont see it in any of my shop manuels but then again I dont have one for a 1979 luv. the 78 manuel dosent show it. so thanks.

No problem. If you plug the EGR port inside the manifold it plugs both vacuum ports, the big one the side of the manifold and the EGR port from underside of the manifold. Good luck

I'm piggy backing on this, since my question is related to smog to.
I have a seperate post on an 80 Luv for the tubes that come off the gas tank and run to this unit that's inside the bed. I'm thinking of caping them or runing a tube so they cycling to each other, but not sure if this will effect how it runs.
Here's the link to my post:

hey master_6988 dont realy under stand but sounds like you need a egr. just cap it if you done need it. I made a plate that fits the bracket that the egr mounts to then sealed it and bolt it back up. an its for a 79.

Zane well i havent take out the vapor sep yet. soon. I still havent figured out yet how I want to reroute those lines ether, got to make sure they vent right. but it wont change how it runs.

One of the lines off my tank (not the line that goes to the fuel pump)leaks fuel when I go to start my truck.
Is there suppose
