Ok I have been here a few weeks, my new LUV project is under way. I did a few searches to see what the feel is about Chevy HHRs and didn't see them mentioned here too much. I drive an HHR Panel for work that I have customized a bit and have been going to car shows for almost 3 years now. I also am a founding member in SoCal HHRs a club for HHR owners. We get mixed reactions from the Hot Rod crowd but generally a good reaction from the general public. I figure it could go either way here. They are pretty good cars and get great gas mileage but you either love them or hate them it seems. So here is a pic of my panel and the 63 stepside I just sold after 20 years of fun. I welcome your response. Remember I do have a LUV with a V8 so that should be good for a few brownie points!

Good looking truck or is it a car? I have seen a ton of HHR's on display at Santa Paula airport at one time.

Are you a member of the So Cal section yet? If not join, I am trying to get all cruise nights and car shows in So Cal listed there.

I luv pertty much almost anything chevy. but I really do like HHR's, and yours is nice. I would like to own one but a black HHR SS. I work at a chevy dealer and every chance I get to drive or work on one I enjoy it sound pertty sad. but thats ok  . there is a guy bagging his luv on streetsource.com and its coming out nicely. I dig it. glad there are other people on here that enjoy them too. but thats why since I cant own one, im trying to but the 2.0 ecotec supercharge in my luv project. If i can ever get the money to go buy the engine. but really good looking panel.

Thanks for the kind words. The panel is considered a truck and has commercial plates but in my opinion it is a car. My boss let me have it painted and bought the wheels and other mods too. I like driving it thats for sure.

I miss my 63 stepside but selling it allowed me to get a new project. My old truck is headed to Sweden, to a car collector. So now I get to see it get totally restored and tricked out.

I like the panel models. Some of the custom ones are really cool, but even the plain ones are good lookin. I like yours.

The models with windows, I, well, don't care for. Not sure why the windows make all the difference for me, but they do.

I'm right there with Ben. It's showing my age, but vans in the 70's were cool to not have windows.
