hey guys, sorry if this is a new thread on an old subject, but i did a search and didnt find the exact answer i'm looking for

I was looking at the mikado version trucks, and from the sales brochure, it seems that the mikado's had bucket seat options.
i however, do not have a mikado cab. My question is this: how different is a mikado cab from a regular stock cab? i would imagine that they would share the floor pan, and therefore have the bolt holes for buckets. i haven't taken my seat out yet, so im just looking for a quick reply.

thanks!

Mine is a 80' Mikado with a bench seat. I have had the seat and carpet out several times and I dont think it has holes for bucket seats. I have another 79' mikado and I will check that one.

Then it came with buckets originally. My 1980 Mikado has a bench seat, no holes to mount bucket seats.

My '79 Mikado 4x4 has the factory buckets. They are in my firewood '79 4x4 now. Not sure what I want to do with them yet. The driver's side is pretty sunken in and worn. I am sure they would be real nice if I wanted to get them reupholstered. Here are some pics I took of them about 5 years ago before the truck was dismantled.

The LUV bucket seats look just like the buckets that were in Chevettes of the 80's. They really don't look very comfortable. Very flat, no "bucket" to them. I went shopping in the junk yards and found some I liked.

Yeah, they are not very comfortable and I feel like it sits too low in the cab, but that could be just because the driver side is worn out and sunken in. There are definitely better buckets out there and I think I would actually rather have a LUV bench seat over these. Maybe if I had them reupholstered they would be better. Something to decide someday I guess.
