PM JLEMOND, he can likely get you the part to fix. 2wd, right? If so the 5-speed swap is common, should be the same length as the 4-speed & mount to the crossmember & the driveshaft length be the same. Depending on the year the tailshaft may be a different diameter, see if your drivshaft spline fits and seals, if not you will need the larger splined portion from a later truck added to your driveshaft.

The u-joints for both the Luv and the newer Pup driveline are the same and so is the length. The only difference is the splines on the output shaft of a stock Luv 4 speed and a newer Pup 5 speed are different. So you will need the front driveline yoke that goes into the back of your Pup 5 speed to match it all up. But it is damn sure worth it to swap your 4 speed for a 5 speed.

I can't answer that one, I hope someone else can. I just remembered seeing that part in my daily email from eBay. At least it's cheap!

a 4X2 5 speed from 86 to 95 will have a stronger 5th gear.
it must be from a 2.3L in those years

81/85 are a little weaker, the diesels are bad about shredding 5th up in them, if you lug em
granted it happens over time, like years not one day.

there was a few drive line changes and spline count changes over the years,
81/85 have a smaller drive line, and 17 spine yoke.
86/87 still small drive line, but with the 26 spline yoke.
88/95 bigger drive line, with the 26 spline yoke.

to fit the up-grade 86/95 transes, a yoke from (any) isuzu 4X4 79 to 87 will work.
there all small drive line 26 spline.
as well as a few other isuzus, one is the pup with a auto trans if i remember right.
or you can luck out and get a 86/87 trans that comes with the right yoke.

OH use 5W-30 engine oil, thats what there ment to have :!:
unless your in say south AZ state. or north AK state
