I have a stock firewall now and by our rules where I mudd bogg you can modify the firewall with a hammer but can't cut it so here's my question, If I run a set of Powerbyace motor mts how far forward is my engine going to be going by the spark plug's over the axle? I'll be using 18" coilover's on the front straight axles and I'm trying too transfer the weight to the back at launch and I'm afraid the engine will be too for forward(Hope all this made sense).

The longer the ladder bars in the back the more tranfer you will get at the hit of the throttle.

Thank's. I'll be using a set of coilovers on the rear panhard bar and ladder bars and ladder bars on the front with a panhard bar too hold a Toyota front straight axle and the rear has a 9". Just trying too transfer as much weight to the rear as possible too get the big bogger's too hook up and pick the front up for the run across the mudd and with a 600+hp sbc it should have enough power if I can get it set up right.

When i first built my truck i had a 283 in it and built my own motor mounts using a set out of a boat witch give me a solid mount and i had the passenger side head almost touching the fire wall and had plenty of room for the small dist.I think that with the hammer trick you can get the other head back to the fire wall and hammer clearance for the dist. If yo can do a body lift you can get the motor back a little farther. It's all trial and fit.

Our dirt drag rules would not allow you to cut the firewall, we moved the cab back and shortened the bed...

I already have a 3" body lift on it now and I could start way out on the sides with the hammer and work my way towards the middle that should give a purdy good bit. I've been thinking about the body set back but I bet someone would notice, Some are doing the body set back but lenghtening there front fenders and hood and it's hard too tell. Thank's guy's I've got a lot of work to do.

With those adapters the engine will have just under 1" clearance to the firewall on the left head. You do need to trim down the e brake brakett on the passanger side per the instruction sheet.
On the late LUV frames 76-up, you can drill one hole in the fame mount and one in the conversion adapter on each side and move the engine back about an inch or so.
