What is the biggest... well what are some pretty good sized mud tires that would fit on a chevy luvs stock 14" rim

ok in my haynes book on my luv im confused. under wheel size iy say for series 5 and 6 that the size is " 5j-14"? help?

Quit looking in your Haynes manual for tires sizes. lol Go check what size tires is on your truck now. Then see how much more room you have in your fenders before your tires are too big. Then get a bigger size based on that.

And if you are planning on putting a body lift on your truck, put it on before you decide tire size.

will LT225/85R14 fit on a stock truck without and type of lift??????? that size is like 28 inch tall 9 inch wide will it fit without rubing on a stock truck?

I am putting 235 75 15's on mine with a 2 inch lift. Close in the front but will work

on the stock 14 inch rims, the biggest size you can put on there so you dont rub is a 215/70/14 (or 75 i think)

just put 225/70r14 firestone destination a/t's with just a little tweak of the torsions.

i got 27x8.50r14 on the back and 205/75/r14 on the frunt

well now i am thinking of geting some 15 inch rims with some 31s or maybe 32a i dont know if ima have a problem with this like i said i will be doing a t bar crank and 2 inch body lift 1st then trying to figure out the tire size ima go with....

First post here, but IMHO that should work . I know mine has a body lift (2 inch) and a 2 inch suspension lift and 33's fit it... barely. doesnt seem to rub. Dunno how, but they don't.

alright awsome i got the 15 inch rims i traded my uncle a buck knife for them lol

Hey nightwalker1977, you said you got 2 inches with a body lift and 2 inches with suspension lift. How'd you do that? Thought they didnt make suspension lifts for luvs? i wanna lift mine about 2 or 3 inches without cranking the t-bars. I already have 3 inches of lift due to a body lift. all in all i want about 5 or 6 inches to clear some 33's or 35's. Please reply back.

to answer this... (I know the truck nightwalker is referring to) the body lift was done redneck style with bushings from a toyota truck. grind/trimmed as needed. the suspension was done by air shocks in the back and t-bar crank with an alignment up front... and cut fenders.

in retrospect (since I told him to do it that way) it turned out like crap and essentially tore itself apart, that is, the truck itself... but... the lift did work.
