any recommedations on a specific engine? should i swap out the transmission? basically what all do i need to get a 350 in there?

Er, check the info section on the luvtruck.com main page, there's a write up about the small block swap. You'll be going 350/TH350 auto, the stock trans is out in a 350 SBC swap.
