Guy's I'm having a hard time trying too find a set of headers that will fit my angle plug heads, It's a 80 Luv and OLD ROB has some good one's but they won't fit and I'm looking for 1.75 or larger tubes. It don't matter if they are over the frame or not, these will be going on a 427 sbc and those heads need too breath any help would be welcome.

:signiagree What he said, angle plug heads and LUVs are not a great match for off the shelf headers.

It won't have torsion bars just the frame up front, I going to put long 18" coilovers on the front and ladder bar the front axle and put in a pan hard bar to a Toyota front axle and a 9" coilover rear end. I got a set of 1.75 Stahl upswept dragster headers that I'll try to make fit by turning them upside down, probably have to cut them and do a little modification but will have to wait until I get the engine in. I'll be running 35's and 38's up front and I'll be taking pic's all the way through. Does your's have angle plug heads?

Yes Dart Pro 1s. My headers started as stock long tubes for a late 60s camaro. Think I had to change three tubes to make them work. They are only the 1 5/8" diameter tubes though.

Are your's in the frame or over the frame and could you have used a larger dia. tube? I'll be getting my engine dinoed today( I hope) and we'll be trying different size headers too see what we come up with and see what size gives the best result's. The head's are Brodix track 1 M2 cnc'd 227cc and at the price I got them for if I got too get a set of custom headers made it will be OK, Thank's again for all the info I've been using this site for year's and will help anyway I can. I'll try the Stahl headers first but if that doesn't work I'll probably have to run the through the hood headers, don't know why they sound different but they will help getting the heat out from under the hood just don't like the way they look.

I have the track 1's on mine, custom built headers, 2-1/8 tubes. first the tubes from the front on each side go between the rails, the rear one on each side wrap around...

I'm going too take some advise and make my trans crossmember removable. Thank's guy's for all the support and help I'll try not to let you'll down on this build.

Been a while since I posted but here's a up date, Got the front axle in an all welded up with the ladder bars and coilovers, rack-n-pinion steering on but haven't hooked up the steering wheel shaft yet. Installed the 9" in the rear and all the ladder bars and coilovers are welded in, pan hard bar is in and just put on a set of 8" back spaced 14" wide rims from MRW wheels and if my camera will work I'll get my wife too put the pics up.

2 1/8 tubes are they on a sb or bc? Still haven't got the motor back and going to have it dyno'd to see what headers that yield the best, I don't think 1 5/8 will be enough.

If I'm not mistaken fenderwell header should work. Here is a list of them-

I believe the Nova Super Comp fenderwell headers work on a LUV, and heard the S10 fenderwell also worked. Not sure have not done it. I plan on trying the Nova on my other LUV.

427 sbc that's exactly what I'm building for my luv the heads are Brodix 227cc cnc'd by M2 angle plug. How do they flow with the big tubes? and did you have it dynod with the big tubes? HP # if you can tell me. And as for the headers my motor builder has two sets of S-10 headers that I'm going to try when I get the motor in then I'll be more able to tell what I need. Thank's guys keep it coming.

The tubes are slightly bigger than the ports, so they don't impede flow, no dyno numbers...
