well i just got home from taking off the rest of the power steering off of a 1986 trooper 2 (with the round headlights). i am going to try to take pictures of everything i do for you guys so that you could do the same thing im doing. i am most likely going to start this project this weekend because i am not sure if i am going to keep the 1.8 or swap it for the trooper 2.3
with the 5 spd. but i will take pictures of the parts that i gathered and take pictures step by step.

Grab it as the 86-87 are the best to get ( no parts trade)

Do any of you guys check the power steer swap stickies? I only ask as i posted my swap witch i did on a hoist and including having to change the pitman arm (box came from a late 87) i was driving mine in 4 hrs.I also posted pics of the swap but for some reason i can not get them the enlarge.

Good luck with the swap and once done you will wander why you waited so long.

If you get your hands on the Trooper check and if the front shocks go up through the upper control arm then every thing will bolt on. Get the upper control arms if you can as these will most definitely will help with a lifted front and you can get spacers to make them even better. I will try and post some pics of the spacers if you want.
