had a lot of different answers from different mechanics, what all do i need to replace the clutch? its a 74 LUV Mikado 1.8L, 4 speed

i think this should be moved to the stock trucks board...

its just like any other vehicle. you will need to separate the engine from transmission (probably drop the trans will make it easier)
buy a clutch KIT ( Clutch plate, Pressure plate, Bearing ETC)
install according to instructions


make and model of the truck isn't really going to matter.

you can get the kit from auto zone or any of those places it is about 120.00 for the kit i got one about 2 years ago and you can do it with in a day or so but make sure you get the kit for your year truck just to be safe :ewink

Most of the threads on here state pulling the engine is the best way for the 4x4's...

I'm with mytmouz, just yank the motor and trans. lot easier you will have to get some one pres on/off the throwout bearing, unless you have an arbor press. Take the whole thing to the car wash clean it up put it back in looks nice.

and with the 2 wheel drive you can do it with out puling the motor i did and i used a puller to get the throw out and i put the new one in my self i did all the work my self but make sure you clean the fly wheel real good
