so from what years have the same engine as my 78. also what year impulse would work for me. im almost done painting the s10 i have and about to jump on the luv.

I think '76 and up LUVs run the same G180 engine. Not sure.

76 -82 LUV 1.8's are the same. The impulse i believe had the bolt-in 2.0 up from 83-87. Maybe 800xl can chime in on this one

If you need a block, i might have one available soon. however it is out of an 80 (stock motor 1.8L) engine is complete i think, but will need the head rebuilt. let me know if you're interested!

There is a 1.8 with 2 cyl. heads on Craigslist in Ventura for $ 300.00.
I was going to buy it for the head, as mine was cracked. I found one closer, and would hate to see the engine go to waste.
