I am also having head light issues. Mine won't come on at all and the guage cluster won't light either. Could this also be grounds or the dimmer/turn signal switch? If it is a ground where would the one I need to check be located? The fuses look ok and I already put in another headlight switch and still the same problem. I also looked at the wiring diagram in my shop manual, but I really can't figure it out much from that.

if you have the fuse block under the hood. the last fuse is the lights. if you pull it out does it look melted? i was having trouble with mine and that was the cause. i had to jimmy it and clamp it to make it work

I looked at the fuses again and they all look good and are in nice and tight. Is there a ground for the headlights under the dash somewhere? The gauge cluster won't light either, but all the other lights work. Could the dimmer/turn signal switch cause any problems with this?

I think there is an inline fuse coming off the switch. It might be the red wire. Also you might try getting a piece of wire with alligator clips on each side and try grounding your switch to a bolt or something metal to see if it is a ground. check your connections at the switch also. You may not be getting goo contact with one of your wires. It sounds like a ground problem. You might put a new fuse in also because I have had fuses that look good but are bad.

As was said above it nearly always is a grounding problem. Headlight ground connection should be at the coil mounting on the right side inner fender and at the regulator mounting on the left side. Check also that the negative battery cable is grounded to the engine as well as to the body near the battery. That is where I would start.
