Last Sunday, I was working with a crane, at work. The load block, (the hook and sheeve, or pulley) were standing up on the ground without the line in it. We were working at the tip of the boom when another guy climbed up on the block to reach up high. The blocked tipped over and hit my lower leg. No breaks, just very badly bruised, and my calf muscle is very tight, and my leg is swollen. I'm on light duty, stuffing sales envelopes. The kids are laughing at me when I walk with my cane, like and old fart.
This has really screwed up my big Thanksgiving camping/ riding weekend. I'll still go, but I won't be riding. Just sitting by the fire and drinking. 8) It's slowly getting better, so I think I'm going to live after all.

OK gimpy, hope you get better soon. At least it is not a walker...Wife had to use a wheel chair after a couple of surgeries. Talk about a bitch to get in and out of the trunk, and you need 36" wide doors for that. Lucky the house I did my Bob Villa thing that I did, all doors were 36" wide. I expected to live in that house till I died.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

  Thanks guys. It's getting better slowly. I'll be able to do a few donuts on the quad too. Just no whoops on the trails.

Remember, Minimize Risk, Maxim-ize Safety :esurprised ! My sister came up with that slogan down at the San Diego branch.
Get yourself recovered and back in the action. Glad to hear you're doing well!
