Does anyone know where to get the hose that runs from the intake manifold to the heater control valve along the firewall? I've looked everywhere and I'm afraid that this is anothor one of those parts that was discontinued a long while back. Any leads to find a new one would be appreciated. Thanks.

Last time I went looking for the molded hose I found one at an Isuzu dealer, and got a hose for a PUP that worked. Otherwise you might be able to find one that is close if you match the old one, or i think some just use straight hose and snake it in there.

Try rockauto.com, if it's not listed under the proper year LUV, try a similar slightly newer LUV or similar year Isuzu pickup with the same engine.

if im not mistaken, a universal fit should work from a place like napa, or checker. just let them know what you need. ill try getting a part number for you

also, you can try going to home depot or lowes and getting a dryer vent hose. sometimes you can find them in a small enough size to fit.

oops!

i totally read that post wrong last night!
i thought you were looking for the carburetor pre-heat hose.

sorry about that.

yeah the smaller cabin heater line is discontinued in a molded version, but you can use regular 5/8 (?) heater line for that purpose. its not too difficult and is going to be a hell of a lot cheaper than getting a pre-molded line.

hope this helps!

you can use standard hose. i went ot the local parts place and asked to look over there stock of hose and found one that was a lot longer but had the basic shape to it and I just cut it down.

When I had to replace the hose from the air cleaner to the valve cover, I used regular hose, but put an elbow in it.
