Any of you guys know a company that has floor pan replacements for my 80 4X4 that I bought new. Had a leak on the right side of the cowl section & put off repairing it to long. Had to remove fenders, windshield & top portion of cowl to get to it. I couldn't see this until we got the fenders off but no drain holes were made so water could get out. We can fabricate one if necessary. Any help appreciated. This little truck is family, we've been places together.

Thanks, I already made that application a few years back & it looks & works good. This leak is around the air duct on right side. We're either going to cut out the rust & apply new metal or grind it down & lead it. The important thing is kill or remove the rust or it will be back.

This is pretty much one of my favourite threads on this site:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7163

It's all about rust.

It be nice if they had a company that made them. You can get a lot of floor pans for 70's VW in JC Whitney, but not a Luv. Go figure.

I've gotn to a sheet metal fabrication shope before for thigns like my window rails. I would think they coudl come up with some floor pans and weld them in for you.

There are millions of VWs... but only thousands of LUVs... Bummer, but that's the way these little trucks are going.
Everything eventually comes to an end, but commonality definitely pushes out the final days.
