The largest percentage of tow companies have quit servicing AAA, (me included). They dictate what they will pay the towers, i.e $20.00 to travel 30 miles and change a flat tire. Other companies will pay a fair market price to the towers and some even offer a blanket price such as Cross Country. These are the ones that the towers jump to provide speedy service to so they can get additional jobs from them. Just my two cents.

My wife and I ate out at a bayou-side seafood resturant in New Orleans yesterday. The wind changed directions and when we came out, the parking lot was under six inches of water! And it hadn't even rained!!!! HHHmmmmmm Me thinks New Orleans should be called the New Down Under.

My car insurance covers towing. My cell phone company covered gas, jump, unlock your car... I don't think ours does not after being bought out. I think Houston Cellular may have been the best one.

I think they Should have raised N.O. they did that to a city in Mississippi I think. They moved the whole thing. I think in N.O. they could have built it up and them moved the buildings, street by street. But that's just me. I am not sure it would have cost more than patching the dike system.
