Shouldnt be a problem.

Any cam joint worth dealing with should be telling you if your cam is coming back with enough extra lift to cause internal clearnace issues.

What pistons are you useing in the build??? Std type dished top?? Flat tops??

Bob.

not sure yet, still in the planning stages.due to financial constraints I might have to do the top end first and leave the bottom end stock till a later date.at that point will try to find a g 200 long block.

std pistons in a G180 are a dish top as far as i know. Shouldnt have any clearance issues.

Shouldnt need anything more than a std bottom end.

Bob.

Nah not much you need to do.

The crank and rods will handle a fair bit, will handle heaps more than cast pistons can deal with.

What you should do if you want to build up a hot G180 or G161 is do a bit of research on a guy that calls himself 'gemracing' Darren Hunter is his name. He has had a stock block G161Z turbo down the 1/4 in under 10 seconds.

Cheers, Bob.
