This is so sad! Americans have to do something soon. This guy is going to destroy our Country before long. Another behind the door thing. Congress ought to wake-up and see what he is doing to our Great Land. I believe he is out of control for sure.

Wow, this is incredible!

I looked on the below website to see if this is legit.... The
link below is what I found.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp

Subject: Do you posess a firearm? Read this.

More good news from our beloved administration........

Now 'all Guns' must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!

As if we didn't have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun,
I hope it isn't registered!

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax
form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax
of $50 per gun.

This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24, 2009, by the Omama staff. BUT . .
this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law
becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act
of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without
the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama ? ..... you must be kidding !

The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage,
U.S. Senate. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please
send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.

Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and
Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S....Open Congress. Obama's Congress
is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners
will become criminals if you don't fully comply.

It has begun . . . Whatever Obama's secret Master Plan is....this is just the
'tip of the iceberg!'

Very Important for you to be aware of another new bill HR 45 introduced into
the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.|

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to
fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usuual, the 'political'
lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it !

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or
Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.
You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or
ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered -You are fingerprinted

-You supply a current Driver's License

-You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental
evaluation at any time of their choosing

-Each update - change of ownership through private or public sale must be
reported and costs $25

- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are
subject up to a year in jail.

-There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a
child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child
under 18.

-They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun
safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs.
in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many
options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are
becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass
this along.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and
disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here
and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..

Read the entire article at snopes. While it is listed as "true" there is a lot of information in there that is contrary to what is quoted in the above email.

i yahoo searched hr 45 and read the actual{i think} bill,
while some of the words are twisted{happens all the time when they trying to get you to vote on something}, the jist of the bill is almost exactly what they said.

i am not defending the bill if it were put to a vote of the people{which it probably wont} i would vote not only no but HELL NO try and take my guns from me!

another thing is this bill from what i can tell would only affect hand guns and anything that holds a clip.

no antiques, or like hunting rifles or the like.

regardless you should check it out and read it for yourself its not as long as i thoughtis only about 10-12 pages long

First it was machine guns, then "assault rifles", the big thing later has been the 'semi automatics'. Revolvers and singleshots will be next on the target list...

I won't even say how many guns I have, or had.....all I know is I will sell them ALL at a garage sale before 2010.

I have said since day one this guy will be our un-doing. I thank GOD everyday I retired from active duty before he took office. He is beyond comnunist. This guy is an absolute traitor. We are TRULY SCREWED and even if this guy only does 4 years and gets voted out it will take decades to recover, if we ever fully recover that is.

Last night I thought about this gun control. Anyone with machinist skill can make their own gun! So, is the government going to control steel too? Since you can go to a junkyard and buy axles that make good gun barrels :D , control the junkyards. Of course lathes are used to make guns, so lets control them too. This crap can also be looked at another way, let the government tell us what we can and can not do as a buisness. If you are in the buisness of manufacturing guns and/or ammo, they will shut you down by stopping your sales! If those people that use guns to commit crimes can't get guns (like that will ever happen), they will just go to making bombs and even more innocent bystanders will be hurt. Enough of my ranting, going play with my lathe and make a gun that I won't have....

Its all ready happened here.

No semi automatics, bolt or lever action only. Limited magazine capacitys. No pump action shot guns.

You need to have a licence to handle or shoot a gun. You need a permit to keep a gun.

Handguns its even tighter. You need to be a member of a handgun shooting club.

There are spot checks etc on gun storage. You need a gun locker and a safe in a different place of ammo, mags and bolts etc.

Guns dont kill people, people kill people.

But you can still walk in off the street and buy a compound bow at a sports store, or a hardware store and buy a plaslode nail gun. Buy a knife anywhere.

We would be so screwed if someone wanted to invade our country. Not thats it hasnt all ready been invaded. Oh no im not a racist, i mean cane toads and Rabbits
Every time Kangaroo numbers get out of control theres a big public out cry, apparently its more humane to let them starve to death than kull a few out to keep the numbers to a sustainable level.

Meaning???

If that means what I think it does let me give you an educated reply. No I'm not considered the smartest man in any room (but I'm not and idiot either) still working on a degree but it's a work in progress. This is a subject near and dear to me and 6 years ago I was taking a class where our instructor gave us 1 week to prepare for pro gun/anti gun debate. Thank GOD he chose me to be on the pro gun side. Here's some info for you Mr SILVERWING. There are 7 times (7 X's) as many people stabbed to death by kitchen knives as there are shot....not just shot to death but all shootings, death and shootings that people survived. You never hear of anyone filing a lawsuit against Chicago Cutlery, Henkels Cutlery, Tramontina...hopefully you get my point. You are several 100's times likely to die in an auto wreck than you are to die by gunfire. If you fly more than a 1,000 miles on one flight a year (one way ticket) you stand a bigger chance of dying in a plane crash than being killed by a gun. It's amazing how people can look it the way you do. A gun is an inanimate object, no different than a baseball bat, a rock, knife, tire iron or any other object. Here's one for the FINALE that will shock you...more people are beaten to death than shot to death. Some with bare fist and some with objects like I listed above. What is it we are going to do about people having two hands. Chop one off at birth...would that lower the statistic of people beaing beaten to death? I could sit here and give info all day but I'm taking my 7 year old grandson on his first duck hunt with me here in a couple hours so I need to get a few things together. How dare I take out a kid and expose him to responsible shotgun handling and shoot a few innocent ducks (hopefully that is) and force my black lab to bring them back to me? We Americans...what are you gonna do with us? All the world passes judgement on us until they need food, military action to support them agaisnt tyrany, or help them out with a multitude of any other disasters.

God Bless the Asutralians, you have stood with us countless times and spilled blood for the same reasons. I have never made it to Australia but it's on my bucket list. Maybe I could help you guys out with your Rabbit, Wild cat, wild Cow and Kangaroo overpopulation. Maybe I would just hang out on the beach and enjoy the scenery. Who knows.
Karl

ok mate first of all i wasnt having a go at you, or anyone, just commenting that it would be good to see gun related deaths decrease, by making it harder to get a gun. from what you have described i dont see why you have a problem with it theyre making it harder for irresposible/mentally unstable/underage people to get their hands on a deadly weapon. make sense?

i did a quick google search and what i came up with

world wide
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
america
http://www.ichv.org/Statistics.htm

australia
http://www.guncontrol.org.au/index.php?article=75

england
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/britain-records-18-fall-in-gun-deaths-1232069.html

japan
http://aapnews.aappublications.org/cgi/content/abstract/15/6/6

so do you honestly believe theres nothing wrong with the laws regaurding firearms?

the problem with this is these people arent aquiring the guns legally anyway
so the only people this hurts is the law abiding citizens

zyanug hit the nail on the head. Only the ones that obtain firearms and ammo LEGALLY are being punished. The fact is, no matter where you go, firearms CAN and ARE being obtained illegally. I agree that different countries do make it more difficult, but not stopped. All of this gun control crap is due to one person that wanted to make a statement and others wanting to get their two cents climbed on board. Now it is out of control. There used to be a bumber sticker: Outlaw firearms and only outlaws will have firearms. I'll be damned if I let our anal government take mine away! Just like Jackson and Sharpton, take away this racism crap the government promotes and they don't have shit to do. Yes I'm in a good
fu$%^&g mood now!!! I'm going to bite someone on the leg so they will outlaw teeth!
