Hello, I'm Scott and I'm in Newark, Ohio. I just got a 1972 Chevy LUV last month. It has the stock 1.8 four cylinder Isuzu engine with a split manifold and side pipes with a 4 speed trans. I lowered it three inches in the back so it would set level with the front. It has 14" slotted wheels with 205 70 14 tires on the front and 235 60 14 on the back. It has a custom paint job with flames on the hood and a gold stripe. We made a bed cover for it. I put 05 Tiburon bucket seats in it. It has custom made door panels and matching headliner. I have ordered new carpet but it has not come yet. It has an aftermarket 8 track player from back then and the stock am radio in the dash. The only rust on it is surface rust on the rockers under the doors and on the front fenders right behind the front wheels. Here are some pics.

Image
I have new turn signals mounted in the squares on the spoiler. The stock ones are not laying in there anymore.

All four lens on the back are red because one of my orange ones is cracked.

All the wires by the door are gone now. Old interior pic, I don't have a new one yet.

The 8 track player that still works! lol

Nice looking rig. Are you keeping the 8 track deck in it? That's a trip down memory lane.

Welcome! I like the 4 red lens look in the rear, I've been thinking of going to that and I may just do that now that I've seen how nice yours looks. I'd say you've got a tastefully done custom truck there. Do you have any engine pics?

Ok, I found a paper under the seat that said $6,000 on it. He must of had it on the windshield or something. I found it on Craigslist for $4,000. I had a 95 blazer that I lowered and done alot of other stuff to. i got tired of it and wanted something older to mess with. So I traded my blazer for the luv.

I saw it on craigslist for a while. I saw a step side on craigslist in Ohio about three weeks ago. I can't remember exactly where. It would look good on there. Welcome to the site.

Real nice looking truck! Hope you have fun with it. It is a rare thing to find an older one in that nice of shape up here in the Northeast.

Thanks for the comments. Still working on getting an engine pic. I need to get a new interior pic posted to. I put 2005 Tiburon bucket seats, new carpet and a new Grant steering wheel in it.

Good looking truck.

With side pipes, do you have mufflers?

No I don't have mufflers on it. All I have are baffles in the pipes. Its kind of loud but not as loud as you would think.
