I did a compression test yesterday and here are the results.
#1 - 165 psi
#2 - 160 psi
#3 - 150 psi
#4 - 170 psi
I put a little oil in #2 and #3 and they both increased: #2 - 170 psi.. #3 - 178 psi..
Do you think it's time for an over haul, or run it till it get's worse.

Your compression is good and within normal limits ( about 10% variation is normal) So i say run it and enjoy.

Did you do it hot. To get accurate results it should be hot. If those are cold numbers they are fair. Drive it for awhile.

Ran it for an hour, temp up to 175 degrees.

Nothing wrong with those results at all. My manual is in the shop but I think the listed compression is right around 170 psi. Here's compression for you that needs a rebuild...my '79 4x4 has 45, 85, 90 and 105. It's shot but I just bought a parts truck for $100 that has 86,000 miles on it. If the compression comes out good in it I will be swapping engines in the next week or so. I would gladly run the compression you have without any worries.
