On my 4X4 I saw an oil leak. Traced it to the dipstick. Seams the lower end of the eng. is presurizing and pushing it out the top. Any ideas on what to look for for a fix?
I checked the hose from the oil pan up the the check valve, I blew into it (down to the oil pan) and it gurgled a bit then was clear.
The dipstick stays in place, oil just seeps around it, and down the the lowest point, and then onto the ground.
This truck had not dripped a drop yet until now. :econfused

Is the oil comming from the top of the dipstick tube or where it fits into the engine block? Is could be loose where it is mounted.

i had that happen kinda on a chevy 1 ton 6.5 diesel. except oil was coming out of more than just the dipstick tube.. anyway long story short turns out was a bad cylinder and am in the process of replacing the engine

This is coming from the top of the tube, where the dipstick goes in. The dipstick will have oil up the the rubber seal til I wipe it off and re dip it. Then it will be normal.

I would say a plugged PCV system. Should normally draw the crankcase oil vapors through the small hose from the valve cover to base of the carb for reburning. I remenber it being between the carb and the valve cover, a short hose.

I have 20W50 in it.
I cleaned out the check valve on the fire wall, but that didn't fix it. I just unplugged the hose from the oil pan that goes to that valve, and have no problems since.
