I have looked at a lot of the setups you guys have and I have some questions.

I tried Google but it kept bringing me here! Best information, hands down!

I finally got my truck running, but my guage panel is SHOT! Falls out, speedo doesn't work, etc. Are there universal guages and a speedo that you guys recommend, or do you use the stock stuff when you build the new panels?

I really like this one!

I like the 2-1/16" Cyberdyne Ultragages which are now in mine. They are electronic and the speedometer (about 3-3/4" dia) is easily calibrated with a push of button. Mine are the RED HEAT. Here is a link for you.

well, when i built a custom cluster for my old cvcc, i used the sunpro gauges from checker auto parts.

if you want to go custom, i suggest asking around to the various big name companies like jegs and get some info on what is available and what works best.

hope this helps!

I can trace a spare I have on paper and put it in the mail for you if you want. Luckily it attaches to the dash with three studs and wingnuts, couldn't be simpler. I'd say make a blank panel that fits in there then get whatever gauges you like. My gauges are in really good condition so I'm sticking with those. Although I did just pay 80 bucks to get the stock speedo and odometer repaired. Apparently there was some kind of grease in there that solidified and just gummed everything up.

If I go custom interior on my truck I think I'm going hardwood paneling. I know, I know, wood paneling. But I've seen pics of some of Ctmandu's Florians (or he showed the pics or something) and the wood paneling is period correct. So I might make a wood instrument panel that the stock gauges fit into.
