Scored my Luv from a buddy in a trade deal. Basically I put bearings, brakes, seals on his Dana 44. It's a 1975 model. 2wd, Non-ac,4spd man, 4whl drum, factory eletric fuel pump. 160,000 mile on the odo. I have had it now for 6yrs. Basic maintenance only. Only oil changes, a clutch, batt, alt, and regulator. Run's great. It has a 32/36 DGEV Weber, it's a little picky sometimes, otherwise it gets nearly 25mpg. But alas, it is old and tired. Only can adjust the valves and change the oil so many times. She's a rattlely motor on start up. It takes on average 3-5 seconds for the Oil pressure to catch up to the motor. The tranny howls horribly on the freeway, as does the rearend pinion. The 4 wheel drums are finally getting to me. She smokes gettin off the Highway. I'm done with the old drivetrain.

Mild Gm 305 v8 for now. Friend is trying to get me to buy his Turbo Grand-National motor/trans. It would be awsome to do a turbo motor, but I can't comit to it fully yet. To many projects. It will be fun either way.
