Bought the truck about 6 months ago and recently the rearend started leaking and growling. Pull it out exspecting to find bad bearings. All the bearings look good but the pinion gear looks a little worn. I thought maybe the pinion nut was just loose so I put it all together last night and I think it is worse now than it was. So does anyone know where I can get a ring and pinion. I have been told that all the 4x4's have 410's in them. Is this true? The truck has a flat bed and several tool boxes on it and is pretty heavy. Is there another axle out there that is somewhat cheap and easy to swap out that would last longer and is more HD? I want to keep the same ratio so I dont have to mess with the front.

Look at the Toyota axles then install the V-6 diff. and you will have a neer bullit proof rear asy.,just check your gear ratios first.
