I think I know what your talking about. but it would be under the intake manifold. on the other side of the termostat housing with a one wire connector. I just found the wire in mine, it hasent been working since I bought the truck, and now work great with the wire connected :lol:

Yes, under the intake manifold is a very secluded area, full of hard to work on things.

A little late here, but what year LUV? Mine is a 1980 (cross flow engine) and it is on the front of the intake manifold under the front intake runner. There are two things side by side there and the temp unit in the one closest to the engine. If the distributor is in the way of the wrenches, that's it! :lol:

Should be in the same location. The wire clips on by sliding a rectangular clip onto the top of the sending unit.
