I went ahead and bought a rubber channel from JCwhitney. The closest they had
is Style 20. It comes in a roll of 8 feet, but you will only need about half.

In the picture below, note that the rubber prongs are facing inward, the stock rubber faces outward. It will fit in the channel, but it sort of squishes it together. From trial and error, I found that you want the rubber as straight as possible. On one side I ended up using super glue to bond the rubber to the sides. If the rubber is wavy, the glass will be hard to put into the rubber.

I bought some auto sealant from a auto paint store. I was told from an autobody worker, that apoxy will become brittle. The sealant remains fairly soft.
Before putting the sealant in. Test to see if the glass will fit into the rubber. You will save yourself a lot of trouble!

After the rubber is secure and fits well, I took the track back out. Then I put sealant down the inside of the rubber. I mounted the track back on the window mech, and then then pressed the glass down into the rubber. The selant sets up in about 15 minutes, but I suggest letting it cure before you go rolling the window up and down. Also I took a puddy knife and pressed the selant down. After all is said in done, if you are standing in front of your door looking down you can see the sealant a lilte bit, but not the case if you are standign back from your Luv.

For those of you that are somewhat local to the Auburn/Sacramento area.
The shop i went to make the window tracks is called Precision S. Concepts (in Auburn, CA). The guy who runs it mainly does sheet metal, but he does some steel fabrication too. I just took the old rubber and old track (what was left of it  ) and he saved the bottom piece that goes in the window mech, and welded that part onto the new channel. It was an hour of labor for one track.
