I found a lot of new trans with shift kits for like more than half off the last time I looked.

I have never used them but, The Motor Man Leon Kaplin on Sunday morn. KABC am790 recommends Leons Transmissions. They have several locations around the so Ca area.

Dusty here, over in Riverside. In regards to your search for a good transmission shop in our area? I strongly recommend Art's Rainbow Transmission in the Pedley Area, exit off HWY 60 on Country Club Dr,
if you are coming from your area, turn left and Rainbow trans is located about 1 mile down on your right. I have found his prices to be rock bottom, and his work is excellent. You can tell he is good by checking out all the custom cars parked outside his shop.
I've had him work on my Mustang's C6, my own 78 Luv w/ sbc with a Turbo 350, and my son's 81 Luv with a sbc and a 700R4.
Also Luke's Transmission in Riverside does excellent work too, although he is a bit higher priced than Rainbow.
