Bought the cam yesterday . 252/264 @.050 .621/.624 solid roller .

is right....dammmmmm that's gonna thump just alittle bit.....how much more ya got to get befor its ready to drag azz?

Why so small, .800 is good... Should be sweet!

I have confirmation for Pinks all out in Ennis . I need chassis dyno time and at least 3 or 4 passes . That is the time frame im under and im scared of that 406 . You come around with that thing and i'll be using my new quick straps to haul azz outta there .



Hey it'll go .66? with 1.6 rockers and @ 680#s over the nose it looks like ima need 7/16 studs so might get new rockers and bump it up a little . Remember , im still slow .

That is what I was thinking. My cam is 0.737/ 0.726. Not quite .800 but pretty close.

Ended up a 230#'s on seat and 640#'s over the nose . The valves that are in the heads won't handle the seat pressure , so i am replacing them with Manley severe dutys and doing some port work on heads and intake . I also had to get Del west titanium retainers and locks . The springs are the baddest Comp makes and where around $400 . Also going to 7/16 suds and guide plates . Im scared of CT's Big ole 406 and down in my back so i'll probably be slowing down in the future . Looking at a 35TH aniversary Camaro convert with LS1 in it . You better hide that GTO . Anyway project is still moving forward .

alright hotrod i think you got my 406 covered now, i would love to see the truck run now it ought to haulazz that's for sure, let me know when you get to head to thetrack i haven't been yet....hell the gto is just a weekend driver the other half is pretty strict on what i can and can't do.....i have a nitrous kit for it but don't tell her ...i'm going to try to sneak it onthe car one day so she don't know until it hits the first time with her in it

Here it is before install . Small base LT-1 Cam with no offset on lifters . It has provisions for the factory cam retainer , so no need for thrust button . Also cast press on distributor gear to run any distributor .

Well guys i kinda been down lately and been advertising it for sale . NOW IM PISSED . I have been offered stupid money and i can't stand it . A guy i work with and former Edelbrock easy street world champ Andy Legg has offered me a set of heads on a pay if you want basis . Now i don't know about where you come from , but that's a get your ass back to the track down here . He offered bare castings with titanium intake valves , I HAVE the rest . I'll be getting this assembled under my watchful eye and bolting 26 x 8.5 on it . It will sell better as a winner and with the best et of 5.97 it will win . Ratt Daddy will shoe it for me . He is MR . HMP . I may not move very well , but im back ( no pun intended ).

well i thought i had just another tire kicker tonight that was intending to low ball me . The guy came out last week and looked at the truck and wanted to look at it again yesterday . he shot me a couple of offers which i turned down . "this is what i want or i'll keep it" i told him . Out of the blue he pulls out the cash . Truck now has a new owner . Headed to the Beamont/orange area . He is a nice guy . Anyway i'll still be hanging around if you don't mind .

It must be a happy/sad time for you. It would be for me. But glad to hear you got what you were asking for it. It won't bother me if you hang around here.

Well I kinda figured you were going that way with the back surgery and neck a few years ago. That's ok we will get mine finished and you can make a hit whenever you want.

I got more than the bug . I am completely infected . My whole life revolves around compression of something or another . Job, hobbies , sports . My 68 ' Camaro will be getting some needed attention now and the 49' 5 window is almost done .
