Well my f-150s motor might be wasted becouse of stupid flaw on the holley carb. Where the choke linkage comes up theres supposed to be a piece of felt on the base for the air cleaner so theres not a hole. Well there wasnt on e on my carb and i whent on a trail ride to test it for mudracing. Well it sucked abunch of dirt (dust in the carb barels and all over inside the aircleaner assembly) now i have blowby off the valve cover and off the filler cap and the PCV valve and oil is just disapearing. Im hoping theres still 120# of compression otherwise i just lost $3500 becouse of something silly...

That sucks!! you know you just gave me something to think about... none of the carbs I have had in the past have ever had any felt around that hole. I dont build that many carbs for off road use but... i have friends that do. I hope the motors ok.

yeah for street its probly not that critical but holleys usually come whith that on the carb i got becouse its made for dirt track racing (hence why i didnt look). But yeah just ell em to put some gasket maker on that hole and seal it. im leaving for a while but im doing compression checks, it had good power today when i drove it so that bodes well.
