I have two pairs of seats that I have acquired for the Luv. Some gray ones from a Jeep Laredo and black ones from an Honda Prelude. I kinda like both and can only run one set, or one of each

The gray Jeep ones have tall brackets to be cut off so they can be lowered 4-5" No problem. As you can see they are tall now. The black Prelude ones are basically on the floorpan since they are a lower mounting sport seat. They can be raised if needed.

I am kinda leaning towards the Jeep ones with the headrest molded in... Hell I don't know and I am asking everyone what they think. One set goes in the Luv and the other set goes up for sale. I have the fabric from the backseats for both too, so I have matching fabric for some door panel inserts to tie them together.

What do you guys think? Keeping in mind the gray ones can be lowered 4-5" and the black ones can be lifted. Either color can work for my interior scheme when I get to that point.

ps. I put my stock bench in the classified section for Free. Local pickup only.

Also does one vs the other make any difference on your sitting in your truck. Sometimes seat height makes it feel better on how you fit in the cab....Also steering wheel fit to your arms.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Yep, already planned out. Sitting in the black ones as is, is way to low for me and would have to come Up 2-3". The gray ones would have to go Down 2-3". The arm comfort and head room will be fine for either set

I am leaning towards installing the Gray ones and selling the black ones. I need to make up my mind fast as I only have a one car garage for my workshop/storage. I need the floor space the second set is taking up.

The Luv has to stay outside with the wife's XD and my Park Ave :esad

Decision time! I am going to use the gray ones and sell the black ones to regain my floor space.

If you local to Everett, Wa and might want to buy the Prelude seats send me a PM. I'll post them in the classifieds section soon

Thanks for everyone's input.

See what it will take to revamp the seat bases. You could make a wood frame to test a frame height. Also see if you can cut off and remake the gray seats lower. Almost any seat will need some work to fit like you want it too.

I have used a wood 2x4 frame to start with. I even used a 5 gal bucket to sit on and see what I would need to find before.

I do like cloth seats, even more than leather. Cloth is better in winter and summer to me. I like the dark(
black ) ones if you can get them to work... They look like they have a better butt support to me.

Raising or lowering either set is not a problem. I will be lowering the gray ones down when I permanently install them.

Two sets of seats and one truck is the problem. I could always get another Luv or mount the black ones in the bed like a Subaru Brat. I won't be doing that though.

The black ones are for sale, Local sale though, sorry. Such a PITA to ship them, I have shipped seats in the past so I know. Shipped would be more than the price of the seats.

They don't have rips but the bottoms need foam work. Both sides have worn bolsters, not ripped though, so not to hard to get fixed.

I don't want to turn this into a sale thread though and get Yelled at  I'll get more pics in the new couple days and re-post them cheap for another Luv member.
