Well back in the good ol days there was 3-4 major molded carpet makers. Now just about all carpets are made by ACC for the Most part, not all but most. Some places Make it look like they manufacture their own stuff but actually just have ACC drop ship it for them.

http://www.accmats.com/

I know this after getting carpet for my 83 GTI and hearing about the poor mold quality the ACC was. I was given this info while researching carpet by 2-3 different vendors and local upholstery shops. But it's not the case for all vehicles.

The place I went through was able to have ACC actually use a Different mold from a competitor they had bought out. So mine was a Special order and could not be returned like most carpet kits can. End the end it fit well and I had None of the fitment issue the guys that used ACC had.

I have also used carpet from Year One in a 69 GTO and it fit nice. Carpet from ACC for a 89 CRX and it fit nicely as well. It just all depends on the floor pan mold that is used when they make it. Some cars, like the A1 rabbits have fitment issues.

I have not looked into carpet for my Luv just yet so I cannot tell you if it's good or bad for us. Molded carpet with a nice jute pad is a good way to go. Some offer a heavy duty sound deadening pad in place of jute, adds a bit of weight though.

You Will have to cut holes for seat and seat belt mounting bolts. Also you will most likely have to trim the sides too.

Good luck and let us know how it fits!

Wow that was long, Sorry

heat a screw driver with a torch and use that to poke holes in carpet. will keep it from unravelling.

i didnt figure that out until i was doing the carpet on my impala wagon, theres like 10 layers of jute, insulation and carpet to try and cut through..... impossible to do right and not get some holes slightly out of center through the layers, but the red hot phillips goes right through it like butter...... stinks, and smokes, but nuthing bad. Just keep an extinguisher handy just in case.
