I have seen a couple of people paint there bumpers. can anyone explain how diffrent it would be from refinishing a fender. Mine is banged up but not rusty and I cant afford one of ctmandu's nice lower valances yet. Please HELP!!!

On my rear step bumper, I just gave it a quick run over with sand paper and cleaner, then shot it with a can of "chrome in a can. 8) It looks alright from 6 feet. It won't win any trophies though. It might look odd on a front bumper too.

I was planning on going body color but I wasn't sure how hard it would be to sand the chrome. I was figuring a grinder to scuff it then just sand it smooth

Oh your talking the front. I was talking my rear bumper that was already painted.
I don't know what to do about a chrome one.

they just skuffed mine up a little with a wire brush and painted thick

world of kolor makes a primer called adhereto that will bond paint to chrome, glass, plastic or any other surface.

Have it media blasted. Something finer than sand. Then light sand, heavy primer, light sand and paint.
