I wanted to know if any one has ported their frame or thought about trimming it. i am looking at making mine a 12sec. hotroad and a street driver. I was just thinking that the double boxed c-channel frame was over kill and i wanted to cut holes in the outside layer to lighten it up. HAs any oune done this or have any input that would be great. thanx

8O The frame of our Luv's are pretty light anyway and you can pick up a bare frame and walk off with it also there are guys running in the nines with this frame.

Find a piece of metal the same thickness as the LUV frame. Cut a round piece the size of the holes you are thinking of and weigh it. How many holes for how much weight. Not worth the time and if you don't drill them in the right places, loss of integrity of the frame. You could also use math to calculate the weight.
