I got a guy around me who is trying to sell a full Air suspension out of his friend 1996 Lincoln Mark 8 for $25. He said the guy took it out because of one of the air lines started to leak again and got sick of it, so had coils put in its place. The only thing missing is the air compressor. Here is a picture of what he has:

My question is, would it be that difficult to make this work in a love, not trying to slam it to the ground but just give it a nicer ride. I do not know much about suspension modifications how I have never dealt with it before. But here is what I was thinking, and would like you guys to tell me what should work and what wont out of my idea.

I was figuring I would have to but the main bags that are the biggest in the back between the leaf springs and the frame. There I was wondering if I would have to take out one of the leafs or so to make the air ride work right. I do not really want to play around with 4 point suspension or anything in that matter.

For the front, Put in place, and figured i would most likely have to get ride of the torsion bars. If you guys dont think i would please let me know. Or is this idea a lost cause?

If I did not find these bags so cheap I would had no plans on putting an air suspension on as of now, possible in the future, but still would not really have plans for slamming it like a lot of people like to do with them. I just want the better ride, and maybe allow it be equal hieght from back to front.

Thanks for your input in advance.

~Justin

*side note, how i found out about this guy is from a 4x4 club I am in, and we have reviews for what people have sold in the club to each other, and hes got a perfect score and has sold 35 items to different club member, primiarly truck parts of course. So I do not believe he is lying about the bags being good.

Buy yourself $25 worth of beer, it will give you less headaches than trying to fit that air setup in a Luv. :P

Agreed....pass on this as it's no deal. Nothing there you would want to reuse

The back ones would be the easiest to do but the front one will be a bear all though anything can be done if you are so inclined. As for the back a simple quick and dirty way to mount them would be to remove the springs build some kind of tube type with front bushings to replace the springs from the front, build mounts for the air bags and then a panhard bar or a watts link to keep the rear in line.
