I have been working on a 4x4 Mikado for about 8 years now between college and high school, my dad and I have been working on a full original restore, and we are in Michigan, so you can imagine the shape it was in.

I don't have any of the early pictures right now, will post once I get them here, but this is the current stage it is in:

Also, as of today we know that if you want to replace the door jamb sensors Standard part number DS894 is a nearly exact match, needed to tap the hole slightly larger for different threads, but other than that a perfect fit.

We are actually going to have a spray on bedliner put down either in yellow or black (it basically depends on the color the yellow is when we see it). First we need the 4x4 stickers again, and then the final small things that need to be attached after the stickers. I'll update when the stickers are done.

Yea, looks nice! I like the brown interior. I have never seen one before. It goes really well with the yellow.

It was about 5 or more years ago now, but I saw a red spray in bed liner that had faded to pink. Looked really bad. I would think that things like color fade have been figured out now days, but I just wanted to warn you.

That front bumper is actually only a few years old, I don't remember where we found it at however, if my dad remembers I'll let you guys know. An interesting note is that the mirrors are brand new, we found them through a local gm dealership using the original part number and they were the only 2 we could find.

Wanted to give an update, the stickers have been added, the headlight bezels are now in, the chevy emblem is on the grill, and I found some fairly decent replica center caps at J.C. Whitney for a decent price. Anyway here are some updated photos:

Man, I really like those decals. Btw. Are those center caps you bought from JC Whitney for a full size truck?

Yes they are, the full size 4x4 ones. The fit perfect tho and aren't much different at all then the originals (which I am working on restoring, but these will do for now).

Did your wheels have threads already in them for the center caps?

I don't have any right now, and won't be back to my parents house for about 3 weeks, but I can take one and post it after that.
