I got a couple too... first one i got busted for 88mph and having nitrous and modified exhaust on my car. second one was 90+ in a 65 zone (was just slowing down from 130). then last week i got pulled over cuz my tranny has a shift kit and always barks second gear... I managed to talk my way out of that one. been having really bad luck with the fuzz lately. I will scan mine if i get a chance.

My luck has been pretty good lately (knock on wood) but I've had a few in my time. My first was 72 in a 55 from some ancient state trooper. He was parked in a gravel lot right on the other side of a blind 35MPH corner which I slowed down for, to 72 from about 95. Lucky he didn't think to get me with reckless driving for doubling the posted warning on a corner, or for the full two lane sweep I did going around it. The best part, he gets up to the LUV after pulling me over and says "You in a hurry there?" To which I reply, "Not any more sir." I was five minutes late to my high school graduation practice. That ticket cost me a whole $35 too. Bet it would be more like $235 today, but it was only about 12 years ago.

Don't feel bad guys, My daughter's first car was this little geo metro ragtop. After we got it all tricked out with a nice kick-as stereo system , some trick wheels and tires, custom interior,etc.-the damn thing sucked a valve and ran like shit. So it got parked and she bought the car she has now. Then I bought a parts car at the local auction and pulled the head, had it milled, slapped in a cam,(yes they do make hi-performance parts for a damn metro),custom exhaust, and a few other goodies just for shiggles and gits. My daughter, then decides she wants to keep her new car instead.(grrrr!) So while driving this cute little convertible 3-banger(I know) around my neighborhood, trying to deside whether to keep it or not, I get nailed in a speed trap for 37mph in a 25mph zone,(GGRRRR!)as I'm pulling into my own stinkin' driveway. Then this fine example of law enforcement writes me another citation for having a junk car in my driveway(that would be the metro parts car), to the tune of $100.(F@#$%&CK!!! I go to to court yesterday on both and the judge tells me he's doing me a favor buy reducing the junk car fine to $25, agreeing to clear my $75 dollar ticket off my record if I go to some crap driving class for $110. (BULLSH@#$%&T!!)...Needless to say the geo's been sold ,the parts car has been hauled off(for another $40) and I'm much richer spiritually having survived the whole rotten experience,(thank god for adult beverages and their soothing ways)but now I see that metro around town all the time and if it wasn't for the fact that a good freind's daughter bought it from me, (I practically gave it away), I'd snap out and torch the damn thing..... my last exhibition of speed ticket cost me $3500.00 bones and 10 days in the cell. i haven`t done a burn out or drag raced on the street since. i had 8 of those within a 6 month period the first one was a $100.00 fine and 8 points they kept taggin on extra cash from there on out.my driving recoord listed 4 suspensions and 4 revocations. it took 3 years to get my license back. i haven`t had a ticket since i moved out of that town. the last ticket worked out to be $22.58 a foot to clean up the black marks.

i got a 55 in 35 once.......... and I always do 75 in 55, and havent gotten cuaght YET............knock on wood.....

my ticket for speeding 88+ and modified emissions (exhaust and nitrous) was $580 but my attorney got me out of it completely and it cost me $99 to pay him for his services

the other one for 90+ cost me $219 to get traffic school.

taz: tumwater cops are some of the biggest jerks around here. but i don't think they compare to lacey, that department is one of the most screwed up local police departments in western washington imho. i believe they have over 900 standing complaints, in our little town of 29000

NO DOUBT! I used to work the door and bartend in the old Chinese Gardens,(now calledthe Mei Wei), back in '94-'95 and when we called the cops to take away some drunk asshole that wouldn't behave, if he didn't kiss ass to them, they'd take him around the corner by this bank drive-thru that was like a little tunnel and "Rodney King" the hell out of them. Male or female: it didn't matter to them. I worked part-time and full time both in bars around Lacey for a few years and have plenty of buddies that did and still do, and I could tell you lots of horror stories about Lacey cops. So, for all you guys cruisin' through Washington State, when you get to the town of Lacey, BEHAVE YOURSELF!! These cops are all young, prior military,(no offense-so am I), gung-ho ASSHOLES with all the top brass being the same way. Later -TAZ

The trouble with that idea is that there is too many of the bastards to piss them off and they are just stupid enough to try a little payback. I know what u mean... I have a wife, kids house, bikes etc. but I am just too stupid to leave shit alone. The cops here in dago would love to catch me in the act of street racing now so they could make an example of me. I am one of their biggest critics because of shit they have done to me in the past and let me tell you... cops love to come out on top... they love payback.

Check the speed on my second ticket. I got this one on my way to work.. and almost got another one on my way home that same day. Just took care of that one with Traffic School (takes 15-30 min on line)
