 Post subject: upgrades on stock engine

ok ok i know this topic has been discussed a million friggin times but i am too lazy to go back and look through all the messages and find the answer :twisted: so here goes.....i was going to just build up my 1.8L engine for now until i have the time and the money to go with the 350...so i was wondering of any suggestions to add to the horsepower....ok it will be like a ricer i guess....tryin to race with a 4 banger but oh well...thanks for any inputs...............catch ya later

u could bore it and i read somewhere that some one makes a performence cam but i could be wrong on this. and if u get a header don't try to adapt the stock exhaust to it cause u still get robbed of hp. so just get an exhaust system put in. matt

pacesetter makes a good header, k&n makes a good airfilter, a flowmaster muffler works good, weber has a carb and if your lucky you can even find a holley on ebay. get rid of all your emissions devices and anything that you dont need that adds weight. change the lube in your differential and make sure everything that is supposed to move freely moves freely fast.
